Which INFINITI Models Have AWD?

What You Need to Know

Which INFINITI Models Have AWD?

All-Wheel Drive (AWD) allows cars to deliver power to both the front and rear wheels, adjusting according to varying road conditions to provide better performance in rain, snow, and on gravel and other unpaved surfaces.

Wondering if you can get an INFINITI with AWD? Let’s take a look at the basics of how INFINITI AWD works, and which INFINITI models offer AWD as an option.

How INFINITI AWD Works to Enhance Power & Performance

The INFINITI Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system uses a powerful computer and advanced sensors to constantly monitor wheelspin, throttle position, and vehicle speed as you drive.

Then, it instantly adapts to changing on-road conditions – diverting up to 50% of all available power to the front wheels when additional grip, traction, and control are required for an optimal driving experience.

Not only that, but it automatically sends 100% of all vehicle power to the rear wheels for maximum performance whenever AWD capabilities are not necessary, enhancing performance and responsiveness when road conditions are good.

Which INFINITI Models Have AWD?

All new INFINITI models are available with INFINITI AWD. This means that INFINITI Intelligent AWD is available on the following models:

  • INFINITI Q50
  • INFINITI Q60
  • INFINITI QX50
  • INFINITI QX60

In addition, the INFINITI QX80 is available with All-Mode 4WD®, an even more advanced AWD system designed specifically for off-roading, rough roads, and difficult weather conditions.

And, as if the news couldn’t get any better, the all-new 2022 QX55 crossover, which uses the same VC-Turbo engine and CVT transmission as the QX50, also has INFINITI AWD capabilities offering highly competitive performance figures.

But with the advanced, modern features of the INFINITI lineup, you can stay safe in winter weather conditions. Learn more below or contact INFINITI OF DENVER now to explore our advanced luxury vehicles online or in person.

INFINITI Snow Mode

Many of our INFINITI models, like the 2021 INFINITI Q50 and the 2020 INFINITI QX60, are equipped with drive mode personalization options that allow you to optimize your drive according to the environmental conditions and driving preferences. The customizable selections elevate vehicle performance with adjustments to engine and transmission outputs, efficiency ratios, and steering ratios and force settings.

Among these selections is INFINITI’s unparalleled Snow Mode. When you utilize this option in snowy conditions, the assistive technology modifies your engine output to reduce wheel spin on slippery roads, modifying the throttle to cater to the wintery conditions for smoother performance and enhanced safety. In this mode, your INFINITI will be more responsive in the snow, and will have a less aggressive throttle profile.

In addition, INFINITI’s Snow Mode contributes to the AWD on your vehicle by closely monitoring wheel spin sensors and adjusting power delivery to improve handling.

All-Wheel Drive

Even without the Snow Mode, INFINITI AWD uses adaptive sensors and algorithms to optimize power delivery to the wheels, sending up to 50% of the front wheels when conditions are less-than-optimal. This is done automatically, and when conditions are optimal, 100% of power is automatically sent to the rear wheels to enhance on-road performance.

Pair the efficient All Wheel Drive settings with winter tires from INFINITI OF DENVER and our aggressive braking profile, and your vehicle will offer better overall snow handling with enhance traction and on-road performance.

INFINITI Vehicle Safety Standards

INFINITI’s Predictive Forward Collision Warning system monitors the velocity of your car, as well as the distance of the vehicles that are directly ahead of you. Predictive Forward Collision Warning technology sends both audio and visual alerts to the driver when a sudden movement or change is detected, ensuring you can respond quickly to any on-road dangers in inclement weather.

Not only that, but Forward Emergency Braking works in concert with Predictive Forward Collision Warning from INFINITI to automatically brake if you do not respond to alerts quickly.

Plus, winter weather won’t impede your visibility as your INFINITI navigates easily in the snow with High Beam Assist headlight technology and an INFINITI World's First Technology, the available Around View® Monitor system.

How to Celebrate a Denver 4th of July Without Fireworks or Crowds

Nothing says Independence Day quite like a spectacular fireworks display illuminating the evening sky, but COVID-19 restrictions mean that events which draw large crowds—like lighting off fireworks—are simply out of the question.

If you’re searching for creative ways to make your Denver 4th of July memorable despite these unusual measures, then our team at INFINITI OF DENVER is here to help. We’ve compiled a list of the five best ways to celebrate a Denver 4th of July without the fireworks or the crowds. We care about our community, so we brainstormed some activities that will ensure you have an incredible holiday, while keeping your friends and family safe.

Top 6 Ways to Celebrate 4th of July Without Fireworks or Crowds

Whether the patriotism, the sense of community, the grilled hotdogs, or the excuse for a good party ranks as your favorite part of Independence Day, one of these alternatives to fireworks is bound to check all your boxes.

  1. Look for Shooting Stars

If there’s just something you love about the act of staring up at a dazzling performance in the night sky on the 4th of July, then don’t let a global pandemic stand in your way—fireworks may be canceled, but Mother Nature has a way of stepping in at the right moment.Simply pack up your family, friends, or a loved one into your INFINITI and make your way to a clearing with as little light pollution as possible. Before long, you’re bound to catch a glimpse of a few shooting stars.

  1. Host A Patriotic Barbecue

Though you may not be comfortable hosting a massive party inside of your home right now, a small cookout in your backyard can be a great way to celebrate the birth of the nation while still maintaining some social distance.Throw some food on the grill, hang some banners, and get creative with how you show your love of country with your friends and family this year.

  1. Go Camping

As a Denver native, you have access to some of the most beautiful scenery in the nation; maybe you can’t watch fireworks this 4th of July, but that doesn’t mean you can’t witness something awe-inspiring.Whether you prefer to take a lightweight approach, or you haul a whole mini camper, the 2020 INFINITI QX80 is a camping lover’s dream. Take your mountain-ready SUV out for a spin this 4th of July weekend and remind yourself how lucky you are to live in such a beautiful part of the United States!

  1. Get Crafty

Maybe you have kids and you don’t want them to lose sight of the meaning behind Independence Day, or perhaps you’re just a Pinterest addict looking for a reason to tackle a new project. Either way, crafts are an engaging way to honor the 4th of July without fireworks. For a more educational experience, you can create small American flags from felt, explaining the significance of the stars and stripes. To keep things on the lighter side, simply whipping up some red, white, and blue slime is a fun way to celebrate the day.

  1. Substitute Sparklers and Confetti

For some, it just doesn’t feel like the 4th of July without a little bit of flash and excitement. You can still create a bit of entertainment on your own this year with sparklers and red, white, and blue confetti. These handheld accoutrements of patriotism may not have quite as much pizazz as you’re used to, but they will help to add a celebratory feeling to the day.

  2. Or if you are looking for freedom with the open road and need a new vehicle, INFINITI OF DENVER is open in our Sales Department from 9am-5pm on Saturday, July 4th.  Take advantage of our Summer Event incentives including 0.00% Financing for 72 months and 90-day deferred payment on both New & Certified Pre-Owned INFINITIs.

2020’s 4th of July is certainly unusual, but that also means that it’s sure to be memorable. We hope that everyone in our community has a safe and happy 4th of July!

Safe Spring Driving Tips

Spring driving time is here!

Denver Spring Driving TipsThere's an old saying among Coloradans: If you don't like the weather, wait ten minutes.  As winter eases into a typically brief spring, you might want to enjoy the season with shorts, sandals, and a drive up into the mountains with the windows down and the music blasting.  But before you do that, just remember that Colorado springtime usually means a lot of severe weather is just over the horizon.

Read some interesting facts:

  • Mountains create microclimates and what might look like a day of clear blue skies on the news report, could be anything but from area to area.
  • The months of March and April typically get more snowfall than December and January every year.
  • The snowstorms that hit often bring a lot more moisture per storm as well, which means that roads can get very icy and road closures can happen very quickly.
  • Spring weather can last anywhere between a few months or just a few weeks.  Colorado has some very radical weather conditions due to the mountains we all get to enjoy, and in spite of the 300+ sunny days every year, from thunderstorms to hail, rain to blizzards from March to June, you have to be prepared.

Denver driving

Denver started off as a small city which has grown quite a bit in the last 20 years.  Home to a diverse population of native Coloradans and transplants alike, a city of three million people and growing has a wide profile of drivers, each with their own unique history and experience in driving.

Like any city, Denver has only so much space to accommodate all these people on the road.  With major interstates threading through a dozen cities throughout the Metro area, several different weather experiences could be happening at any given moment.

Safe spring driving tips

  • Keep your INFINITI equipped with all-weather tires to handle driving in rain, snow, and ice. Observe traction laws when traveling to the mountains.
  • When driving in poor weather like rain, snow, or hail, be sure to drop your speed and to brake early, using caution for click conditions. In fact, in severe storms, we recommend that you don’t drive at all, and, instead, wait for the weather to settle.
  • Drive defensively.  Never assume the person next to you knows what they are doing.
  • Stay off your phone!  Distracted driving is the leading cause of accidents in Colorado.
  • Slow down!  Keeping at a comfortable speed below the speed limit in extreme weather makes sure you get home safely.
  • Know when to brake.  Excessive or impulsive braking only causes accidents. Even with ABS braking, your car can lose traction and slide.  Impulsively hitting the brakes only causes alarm to other drivers in slick conditions.  Don't ride the brake.  Let your vehicle's motor slow you down by taking your foot off the gas pedal.
  • Keep your distance.  Maintaining plenty of distance between yourself and the person in front of you will reduce your chances of getting into an accident.

We wish everyone a happy spring (as long or as short as it might be) from INFINITI OF DENVER.  We are offer safe, luxury vehicles and auto service for any spring situation and hope that our Colorado spring driving tips keep you and yours safe this season!

There is no doubt that Denver is one of the most beautiful cities, especially over Spring and Summer. Between the colorful trees and the mountain views, there really is just nothing like it. This city definitely does not lack on fun things to do, whether it be going to a baseball game or spending your day in the Denver Art Museum. Below are some of our favorite activities to do during this time of year along with what INFINITI we love to take to these fun places!

Denver Botanic Gardens Related image

With all of the beautiful trees and flowers starting to blossom, this is the perfect place to spend a gorgeous Spring day. Located in the Capitol Hill District in Denver, the Denver Botanic Gardens is a 24-acre garden filled with exquisite plants from the Rocky Mountain Region and similar regions throughout the world. Their mission is to inspire the public by connecting people to the environment and their past, present, and future relationships with plants in the Rocky Mountain Region. The Denver Botanic Gardens have a total of seven different living collections, including two natural history collections, a library, and art collections. Although they are a part of Denver Free Days, where they have select days you can get in for free, tickets are quite affordable. Members are free, and it's $12.50 for Adults, $9.50 for Seniors (65+), $9.50 for Military & Veterans (with ID), $9.00 for Students (with ID), $9 for Children 3-15, and Children 2 and under are free. Similar to the Rockies stadium, the Botanic Gardens are right in the city, so we suggest driving a 2019 Q60 Coupe, to really make sure you fit in those tight spots. The Denver Botanic Gardens is one of the most beautiful spots in town and is definitely a must-see. All of the natural beauty is breathtaking and definitely worth seeing in person!

Colorado Rockies Games Image result for coors field

As you may know, the Colorado Rockies are one of our luxury partners, and here at INFINITI OF DENVER we love a good baseball game! Although the Rockies have only been playing since 1993, they have left a huge stamp in the city of Denver. The experience you get at a Rockies game is unlike any other. With the delicious food & drinks, the crazed fans, and the mountain and city skyline views, you will have the time of your life. Opening day is typically in the beginning of April with the season running all the way until the end of September, and the average regular season tickets range from $5 to $200. While you're at the legendary Coors field, you can check out the on-site breweries and restaurants, or spend your evening on the rooftop overlooking the mountains and the city skyline. Coors Field also offers behind-the-scenes tours of the entire stadium with the option of doing a private tour, Monday through Saturday. Since parking here is a little tight with it being right in the middle of the city, we suggest taking a 2019 Q50. Whether it be with family or friends, Rockies games are tons of fun to go to and they really show what Colorado is all about!

Let's go Rox!
