Introducing the All-New 2019 INFINITI QX50

Introducing the All-New 2019 INFINITI QX50 | INFINITI OF DENVERFollowing a year hiatus from the showroom, INFINITI has come back in full swing with the completely revamped and refined 2019 QX50. This indulgent crossover has even more sporty flair and luxury presence than its 2017 predecessor, and you'll find plenty of extra perks exclusive to the 2019 edition. Here's a look at INFINITI's all-new and improved QX50.

Exterior

One thing to note with the 2019 QX50 is that it's 1.8 inches shorter in length than its previous edition, though that doesn't mean it's any less sophisticated. In fact, the latest model is even more aggressive in design thanks to its 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, front and rear LED lighting and a newly standard power liftgate.

The Luxe further accentuates its luxury with a power-adjustable panoramic moonroof and sunshade, LED front fog lamps, and roof rails. Splurge on the top Essential and treat yourself to rain-sensing windshield wipers, heated outside mirrors, and a cutting-edge, motion activated liftgate.

Engine

The 2019 INFINITI QX50 churns out a promising 280 pound-feet of torque via a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine. It's the first engine to rely on variable compression ratio and pairs nicely with an Xtronic continuously variable transmission. This hardware subtly outweighs the 2017 QX50's 3.7-liter V-6, seven-speed automatic transmission, and 267 torque output.

Performance

Aerodynamics is even greater in the 2019 edition thanks to .32 drag coefficient —a 6 percent reduction. You also get an electric power-assisted steering system in place of the previous hydraulic one. However, where performance notably improves is in terms of fuel efficiency. The all-new QX50 sees an estimated 24 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, an increase of 7 mpg apiece.

Interior

This cozy five-seater is undoubtedly more spacious than its 2017 counterpart. Rear occupants will love the added head and legroom, especially taller passengers, while all can benefit from an extra 9 cubic feet of passenger volume and up to 64.4 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded down.

Comfort is further accentuated via eight-way power front seats with lumbar support, additional front storage compartments, and optional tri-zone automatic climate control and leather upholstery.

Moving from comfort to convenience, the 2019 QX50 also features an updated tech lineup. A push-button start ignition is now standard, and the InTouch infotainment hub gets a revised 8-inch/7-inch dual-screen layout.

Safety

The QX50 boasts standards like advanced side air bags, an engine immobilizer, and driver-assist features such as predictive forward collision warning and forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection.

The Luxe boosts safety even further with blind-spot monitoring, while the Essential tops the category with a newly available, semi-autonomous ProPilot Assist system. It uses fancier features like advanced intelligent cruise control and distance control assist to help you manage your steering and speed with less driver input required.

Looking to enhance your road presence? The 2019 INFINITI QX50 has all the bells and whistles befitting its luxury crossover status.
