The INFINITI QX55 is the first all-new INFINITI model we’ve released in a bit, and we’re thrilled to announce the gorgeous design, unprecedented engine and safety features, and unique style that the model embodies. As the name suggests, it shares some similarities with the existing QX50, and is built on the same basic platform – but with some major changes.
The QX55 brings with it a sportier, fastback design inspired by the mid-size FX35 model introduced by INFINITI in 2003 – and offers a wide variety of features and design choices that distinguish it from the QX50, delivering a truly exhilarating driving experience.

Size & Design
The all-new 2022 INFINITI QX55 boasts plentiful storage space, thanks to its design that’s based on the roomy QX50 platform. Despite its sleek lines and racing-inspired styling, you’ll get 26.9 cubic feet of cargo space in the trunk, and up to 38.7 inches of rear legroom. With the rear seats folded, you’ll get 54.1 cubic feet of space.
Standard & Optional Features
All QX55 models come with a wide variety of standard features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in the entertainment system, a dual touch screen console, LED headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, and active noise cancellation for lower on-road noise. AWD is also standard on all models.
Additional upgrades available include a HUD (Head-Up Display) Bose Performance Series Audio, a navigation system, and ProPILOT Assist technology from INFINITI. Most of these features are standard on the top-tier 2022 INFINITI QX55 Sensory model.
Engine & Powertrain
The 2022 INFINITI QX55 shares its engine with the QX50, using a 2 liter, 4-cylinder engine with a turbocharger that delivers 268 horsepower and 280 ft-lbs. of torque. Fuel economy will fall in the range of the 2021 QX50, at 22 MPG city and 28 MPG highway.
Unlike some other INFINITI models, the QX55 offers Intelligent AWD as a standard option on all models. This system uses advanced sensors and computers to automatically send up to 50% of power to the front wheels when weather conditions and on-road conditions demand more grip and traction.
Safety
Standard safety features include a backup camera, blind-spot warning system, and automatic emergency braking. The optional ProPILOT Assist suite provides additional features like Intelligent Cruise Control with Steering Assist.
Exterior & Styling
The INFINITI QX55 has a streamlined, coupe-like profile with a large, double-arch grille, slanted D-pillars, and 20-inch wheels for an aggressive stance. Available colors include:

Interior
The 2022 INFINITI QX55 provides five heated seats, and the interior is available in Graphite, Stone Graphite, and Monaco Red/Graphite trims. The base Luxe model is finished in leatherette, while the Essential and Sensory trims use real leather.
Active noise cancellation and laminated side glass contribute to a quiet driving experience, and all trim levels come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as an intuitive dashboard and console design.
Trim Levels
The QX55 offers three different trim levels.
- Luxe – The base version comes with a wide variety of standard features like brushed-aluminum trim, alloy wheels, a power liftgate, and onboard WiFi, as well as four USB ports, to name a few features.
- Essential – Upgrade to the Essential trim for real leather upholstery, as well as available options like a navigation system, ProPILOT Assist, Bose audio and a head-up display.
- Sensory – The Sensory model uses fine-grain aniline leather, open-pore maple wood trim, and offers standard ProPILOT Assist, a motion-activated power liftgate, and Bose Performance Series audio, along with other upgrades.
