Explore Denver’s Arts Districts

Explore Denver's Arts Districts | INFINITI OF DENVERDenver is home to a rich cultural backdrop and booming art scene, both of which make The Mile High City a fascinating place to explore. The best way to get up close and personal with these attractions is to take them in district by district. Here's a guide to five of Denver's bustling art communities to help you plan the perfect tour.

Art District on Santa Fe

Perhaps one of the most popular arts districts in Denver is the one on Santa Fe. This vibrant hub is lined with diverse art studios and galleries, a ballet company, a Latin American art museum, charming boutiques, restaurants, and stunning public murals. Keep an eye out for weekly events too, including the Art on Film Summer Series, gallery openings, and First Friday Art Walks. Plus, there's a free shuttle service to help you get to it all.

40 West Arts District

The Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design regularly displays its students' work in the 40 West Arts District for public viewing. Artistic expression in this community is extremely diverse, as you'll see everything from sculptures and woodworking to glassblowing and RTD box wraps with unique art designs. Explore the 40 West Arts Gallery and 40 West Studios, check out the majestic murals by Yulia Avgustinovich, and stop by during the annual fundraiser for raffle drawings and a silent auction.

Golden Triangle Creative District

Nestled between Speer Boulevard, Colfax Avenue, and Lincoln Street is the Golden Triangle Creative District, a populous hub of art galleries, boutiques, bars, museums, and pop-up art events. You'll find attractions like the Clyfford Still Museum, which features summer lawn concerts and Final Friday art walks. Other landmarks include the Curious Theatre Company and the bustling Martin Plaza. It's no wonder the Golden Triangle Creative District was dubbed by the New York Times as one of 2018's Best Places to Travel.

River North Arts District (RiNo)

If you're looking to tour all the nooks and crannies of RiNo, you'll want to sign up for the VIP Studio and Gallery Tour. It takes place on the first Friday of the month and goes on a shuttle ride past several galleries and points of interest. You also won't want to miss the live music and art gallery openings during the First Friday in RiNo, the Friday wine tastings at Proof Wine and Spirits, and the various cute and handmade goods available for purchase at RiNo Made Store.

Tennyson Street Cultural District

From art studios to museums to breweries, finding something to pique your interest isn't hard within the Tennyson Street Cultural District. Enjoy free outdoor concerts, special guest speakers, First Friday Art Walks, and the Totally Tennyson decade-themed event. Plus, don't forget to check out one of the most notable attractions in the district: the Elitch Gardens Theme and Water Park, the site of Denver's first botanic garden and movie theater.

Introducing the All-New 2019 INFINITI QX50

Introducing the All-New 2019 INFINITI QX50 | INFINITI OF DENVERFollowing a year hiatus from the showroom, INFINITI has come back in full swing with the completely revamped and refined 2019 QX50. This indulgent crossover has even more sporty flair and luxury presence than its 2017 predecessor, and you'll find plenty of extra perks exclusive to the 2019 edition. Here's a look at INFINITI's all-new and improved QX50.

Exterior

One thing to note with the 2019 QX50 is that it's 1.8 inches shorter in length than its previous edition, though that doesn't mean it's any less sophisticated. In fact, the latest model is even more aggressive in design thanks to its 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, front and rear LED lighting and a newly standard power liftgate.

The Luxe further accentuates its luxury with a power-adjustable panoramic moonroof and sunshade, LED front fog lamps, and roof rails. Splurge on the top Essential and treat yourself to rain-sensing windshield wipers, heated outside mirrors, and a cutting-edge, motion activated liftgate.

Engine

The 2019 INFINITI QX50 churns out a promising 280 pound-feet of torque via a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine. It's the first engine to rely on variable compression ratio and pairs nicely with an Xtronic continuously variable transmission. This hardware subtly outweighs the 2017 QX50's 3.7-liter V-6, seven-speed automatic transmission, and 267 torque output.

Performance

Aerodynamics is even greater in the 2019 edition thanks to .32 drag coefficient —a 6 percent reduction. You also get an electric power-assisted steering system in place of the previous hydraulic one. However, where performance notably improves is in terms of fuel efficiency. The all-new QX50 sees an estimated 24 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, an increase of 7 mpg apiece.

Interior

This cozy five-seater is undoubtedly more spacious than its 2017 counterpart. Rear occupants will love the added head and legroom, especially taller passengers, while all can benefit from an extra 9 cubic feet of passenger volume and up to 64.4 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded down.

Comfort is further accentuated via eight-way power front seats with lumbar support, additional front storage compartments, and optional tri-zone automatic climate control and leather upholstery.

Moving from comfort to convenience, the 2019 QX50 also features an updated tech lineup. A push-button start ignition is now standard, and the InTouch infotainment hub gets a revised 8-inch/7-inch dual-screen layout.

Safety

The QX50 boasts standards like advanced side air bags, an engine immobilizer, and driver-assist features such as predictive forward collision warning and forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection.

The Luxe boosts safety even further with blind-spot monitoring, while the Essential tops the category with a newly available, semi-autonomous ProPilot Assist system. It uses fancier features like advanced intelligent cruise control and distance control assist to help you manage your steering and speed with less driver input required.

Looking to enhance your road presence? The 2019 INFINITI QX50 has all the bells and whistles befitting its luxury crossover status.

4 Great Places to Watch The Colorado Rockies in Denver

Coors Field Denver, CO Coors Field in Denver, CO

The Rockies are back in the MLB playoffs for a second year in a row and they already look stronger after a big win over the Cubs to make it out of the wild card round. After a screaming hot September where they outscored their opponents by nearly 60 runs, leading to a 19-9 record, there is serious hope for an exciting Rocktober here in Denver. Behind the powerful bat of Nolan Arenado, the arm of Kyle Freeland, and a roster on the roll, we can't wait to see how far they take it this year.

If you're as big of fans of the Rockies as we are here at INFINITI OF DENVER, then you'll know there is nothing quite like watching a game at Coor's Field. That being said, making it to the game isn't always an option. As a proud partner of the Colorado Rockies and member of the Denver community, we love showing support for our local teams and fellow local businesses. That's why we put together a list of some of our favorite places to watch a Rockies game around Denver!

  1. Blake Street Tavern

Located only 0.3 miles from Coors Field, this gigantic sports bar proudly touts having 65 HDTVs, three bars, an outdoor patio, and tons of games all creating the perfect spot to catch a game. If this sounds great to you, you're not alone. Over the years Blake Street Tavern has amassed a long list of awards, including Best Sports Bar for Food & Drink 2017 & 2018 and National Sports Bar of the Year in 2017! With entertainment at every turn, and a menu that puts other bar food to shame, it's easy to see why this has become a Denver hot spot for sports fans all throughout Denver. If you plan on making your way down to the Tavern, we highly recommend the nachos.

  1. Occidental

If big bars like the Blake Street Tavern aren't your scene or you're just looking for something a little different, Occidental is the place to go. With the definition of "counter-culture" proudly displayed on their website, it's easy to see that this bar set out to provide a unique experience for its patrons. With craft cocktails and high-quality snacks and entries, Occidental makes the perfect place for a more intimate game viewing option. Game day celebrations may include game day discounts and special menu items as well!

  1. Jackson's

Another hot spot nearly in homerun territory of Coors Field is Jackson's. From the moment you walk in, you can tell that Jackson's was built to provide a destination for Rockies fans. With 70 HD flat screens, the wide-open space with a central bar is perfect for game-time viewings. But Jackson's delivers on more than just a great game-time environment. Known for their burgers, both classic and creative, Jackson's puts in the extra effort to provide grub that will fuel you through the 9th inning.

  1. Homegrown Tap & Dough

Looking for a sports day destination for the whole family? Homegrown Tap and Dough offers both sit-down dining and a place at the bar, complete with HD TVs all around. With hand-tossed pasta and wood-fired pizza, Hometown offers an option for a different kind of gameday food. However, they still have an incredible gourmet burger menu and a wide selection of rare craft beers for a more traditional experience. With space to spare, a large open patio, and a vintage arcade game room, this sports restaurant is perfect for kids.

Whether you are looking for a large crowd to chant along with, a change of scenery, or a great place to take the family, there is something on this list for everyone... as long as you're cheering on the Rockies, of course!
