The Summer Rooftop Party

Hopefully some of you got the chance to attend the foodie event of the year - Sushi Dens 4th Annual Summer Rooftop Party. We were happy to be able to sponsor this exclusive event for the first time this year, especially since all of the proceeds went to such great causes. The Rooftop Party has taken place on the rooftop of the parking garage right by Sushi Den for the past 3 years, and offers 20 different Chefs flown in from Southern Japan two nights in a row. This year, they included 8 of Denver's top Chefs to take part as well. Other than the exquisite street food, you can also enjoy live music, award-winning sakes, and tasteful beer and wine. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were the make for a perfect summer evening.

 The Cause

This event was first inspired to benefit the victims of the devastating earthquake in Southern Japan in 2016, which hit their hometown very hard. Since starting this event, they have raised money to support other natural disasters that have affected the United States, their now long time home. Aside from the Rooftop Party benefiting the Kumamoto Castle Earthquake Relief, they also support a local charity called We Don't Waste. We Don't Waste supports our community and environment by reclaiming and redistributing quality food to those in need. Their team collects unused food from venues, caterers, distributors, and other food purveyors and distributes it to under-served populations. Since starting in 2009, We Don't Waste has recovered over 100 million servings of food. Great food all for a great cause!

The Food

Den Corner hand-picks and personally flies in 20 incredible Chefs from Southern Japan for this exclusive event. These Chefs personally make fresh Ramen, Hand Rolls, BBQ Seafood, BBQ Beef, and more amazing Japanese street food all right in front of you. They come to this event from all over Southern Japan, including cities like Hiroshima, Kumamoto, Miyazaki, and more. Aside from the ones who were flown in, they also included 8 of Denver's elite award-winning Chefs from some of our top restaurants. These culinary experts included none other than Alon Shaya, Caroline Glover, Dana Rodriguez, Ian Wortham, Alex Seidel, Carrie Baird, Elise Wiggins, and Paul Reilly. All of these Chefs have won incredible culinary awards, cook at top Denver restaurants, and are experts in their craft. Be sure to check them out and dine at some of their restaurants!

If you didn't get the chance to attend this year, be sure to grab some tickets in advance next year. Great music, great food, and a great location. It's a fun way to finish off your summer and all for a good cause!

There are 4 different models available, including the QX60 PURE, QX60 PURE AWD, QX60 LUXE, and the QX60 LUXE AWD.  In comparison to it's competitors, the all new QX60 rises up against all with it's 11/13 available safety features, whereas every other only has 8/13. This SUV has an exclusive cabin with unmatched interior design, three rows of seats, and also can come with a theater package to keep the young-ins entertained.  The 2020 QX60 is family friendly and the perfect vehicle to take on your next family adventure. Take a closer look at some of the key features below.

Safety

One key feature in the abundance of safety features is the Around View Monitor With Moving Object Detection, which delivers intuitive technology that helps to make parking easier by placing four cameras around the vehicle to give you a virtual 360 bird's eye view on your display. Another feature is the Backup Collision Intervention, which gives you awareness in every direction while backing up by detecting a potential collision with visual and audible alerts. The Blind Spot Warning is another safety feature you can't miss out on having, which alerts you when vehicles are detected in your blind spot area. Another great feature would be the Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, which cannot only measure the distance between you and the vehicle in front of you as well as the speed of both vehicles - it can also capture movement from a pedestrian directly ahead in your lane of travel, helping you detect a potential frontal collision. As well as audible and visual warnings, the vehicle will also partially apply the brakes if they are not applied, even fully braking if necessary. These are just a few of the safety features in the QX60, but you can learn more about the others here.

Versatility

If you're looking for a vehicle with style and versatility, the QX60 is the SUV for you. You will have the convenience of Hands-Free Entry, for those times when you have your hands full and need to get access to your trunk. With just a simple swing of your foot under the rear bumper, the Motion Activated Liftgate automatically opens and gives you immediate entry to your cargo space. If you have a big family or find yourself always driving company around, you will always have access to Three Rows and 7 seats. The Adaptable Cargo Spaces are also a key feature in the 2020 QX60, making it so you can fold the second and third rows to accommodate for your next adventure.  Personal Entertainment is also available (if so equipped) to keep the kiddos in the back seat happy, with optional dual 8-inch screens where they can enjoy movies or games. For those cold Colorado Winters, Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is here to assist, which monitors wheel spin, throttle position and speed, and diverts up to 50% of the available power to the rear wheels when conditions are less than optimal. These are just a few of the versatility features in the QX60, but you can learn more here.

Schedule a test drive in the all new 2020 QX60 today at INFINITI OF DENVER!

The Next Generation at INFINITI OF DENVER

Joe Walter has been a part of our family at INFINITI OF DENVER for just over 23 years. 2 years ago, his son Max Walter started his trainee technician position working directly next to his father in our service drive, following in his dads footsteps. Working side by side each day, they both ensure our customers leave as happy as can be with their vehicles using their smart, careful approach. Joe has been a leading driver in the success of our service department and we are so happy he wants to continue his legacy he has made here onto his son. We wanted to ask them both a few questions about their time here and what makes working alongside your family member so special.

Q: How long have you both been with INFINITI OF DENVER?

J: Just over 23 years.

M: 2 years.

Q: Joe, what do you plan to teach your son about the business and pass onto him?

J: Since everything has changed so much in this business since I first started, I essentially want to teach him to stay current and constantly do research to teach himself new things. With all of the modern technology in the new cars these days, it's definitely important to be able to compete.

Q: Max, what is it like working with your dad? Do you have a favorite part about working here?

M: I actually really enjoy working with my dad. He's very knowledgeable from being in the business for so long and being so good at his job, so I learn a lot from him every day. My favorite part about working here would have to be learning new things every single day.

Q: Joe, do you want to talk about some of your accomplishments at INFINITI OF DENVER? Do you have a favorite part about working here?

J: During my 23 years here, I became Master ASE and INFINITI Technician, and Shop Foreman. My favorite part about working here would definitely have to be the satisfaction of making someones vehicle better.

Q: Max, what made you want to work for INFINITI OF DENVER?

M: It was the best opportunity for me, especially since my dad has been here for so long.

"It has been a fast and amazing 23 years at INFINITI OF DENVER!"

Joe Walter

Enjoy A Fun Weekend At These Denver Spots

Image result for denver skylineBeing one of the most popular and most visited cities in the country, Denver is never lacking on fun things to do. You can do anything from riding electric scooters down the 16th Street Mall, visiting the world famous Brewing Companies in the art district of RiNo, or even going to the Denver Zoo. Even if you don't particularly enjoy the city life, you can drive about 20 minutes west and find yourself in the breathtaking Rocky Mountains. But what is there to do in the mountains in the summer, you ask? You have an abundance of fun things to do, such as white water rafting, hiking, mountain biking, and visiting the historical mountain towns. The fun list of things to do in Denver could go on into INFINITI, but below are some of our favorite activities to do on the weekends here.

Go To A Concert At Red Rocks

Watching a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a summer weekend must-do for anyone in the Denver area. The drive is only about 15-20 minutes from Image result for red rocks amphitheatreDowntown Denver heading west, and even the drive is astonishing. Once you get on i-70 and get close to the Red Rocks exit, you'll see some of the best views of your life between the mountain range and the Red Rocks themselves. The legendary amphitheater has hosted world famous artists since its opening in 1906 such as The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and U2. Red Rocks puts on concerts every week during the summertime and tickets actually aren't too pricey for being one of the most popular concert venues in the world. Depending on the artist of course, the tickets usually range anywhere from $50 to $200, and what's great is they rarely even get to $200. In addition to seeing a concert at the amphitheater, you can also take part in Yoga On The Rocks, which typically takes place every Saturday morning during the summertime, and Film On The Rocks, which is where they play popular movies over a large screen. Red Rocks also has a fairly simple hike with fantastic views. Over all, seeing a concert at Red Rocks is a fun way to spend a Friday or Saturday night!

See A Rockies Game At Coors Field

Being one of the most fun and entertaining baseball stadiums in the country, Colorado Rockies games never disappoint. The atmosphere is unlike any other, between the huge rooftop bar (the Related imagelargest in the city of Denver!) and the crazy fan base, it's rare that anyone has a bad time at Coors Field. As you might know, baseball has the most games per year than any other sport, so there's plenty of games for you to choose from and also a few games a week you can usually choose from. Average tickets run from as low as $16 and go up to about $150 for seats close to the field, but the games are always fun no matter where you sit! If you're unable to make a game, we recommend doing the Coors Field Tour, which lasts about 70-80 minutes and is an in depth tour of the entire stadium. In addition to being a great place to watch a ball game, Coors Field also offers some of the best breweries in town and some of Denver's most famous restaurants actually have booths there including Biker Jim's and Helton Burger Shack. Definitely try and make a game before the summer is over, you won't regret it!

Visit The Wildlife At The Denver Zoo

The Denver Zoo is another great way to spend a nice warm day in Denver. Right in the heart of Downtown on the North End in Denver's City Park, the Related imagezoo is a total of 84 acres and houses nearly 4,000 animals and serves over 2 million guests per year. They house everything from Komodo Dragons to Gorillas, and they even have a carousel and train for the kids. The summer hours for the zoo are 9:00 am-4:00 pm, and the tickets are more affordable than you might think. For adults it's $20 a person, seniors $17, children $14, and kids 2 and under get in for free! Other than carrying tons of species, the zoo also hosts fun events throughout the year as well. During the holidays, the zoo hosts its famous Zoo Lights, which is when they put Christmas lights throughout the entirety of the zoo and it's definitely worth seeing in person. Be sure to visit the animals at some point this summer, it's a great way to spend the day with friends or family at an affordable price!

Our Favorite INFINITIS To Drive In The Summertime

With our beautiful summers that we're lucky to get in Colorado, you have to drive the perfect car to go along with the great weather. Although all of our INFINITIS are excellent to drive, there are a few that are especially fun to drive in the summertime. Whether it be the body style or the amount of horsepower the vehicle has, here are a few of our favorite INFINITIS to drive during the summer.

The Q60 Coupe

Everyone could probably assume this is a no-brainier since it's always fun to ride in a coupe in beautiful warm weather, but there really is something special about driving a luxurious, fast car on a gorgeous day through the mountains of Colorado. Inside the hood of the Q60 lives the award winning 3.0 liter twin-turbo V6 Engine, and the car generally runs at 300 horsepower. If you want to kick it up a notch, you should take the Q60 Red Sport out for a test drive. The Red Sport has the same engine as the regular coupe but with 400 horsepower, so it's quite the fun car to take out for a spin. Acceleration is instant and feels limitless and it is definitely one of the most comfortable coupes on the market, moving the seats at just the push of a button. Both coupes also have the option to come with a sunroof so you can really enjoy that summer breeze! For more research on the 2019 coupe, click here.

The Q50

If you're looking for a vehicle that's a little more spacious than the coupe but not quite an SUV, the Q50 is the INFINITI for you! This 4 door sedan is one of our most popular vehicles and has a sleek and sporty feel to it. For the standard Q50, it runs at around 200 horsepower and just as most of our vehicles, it also has the famous V6 twin-turbo engine. If you're wanting to up the torque, try out the Q50 Red Sport, running at 400 horsepower. Some of the features in the Q50 include Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, 26 highway miles per gallon, and the Dynamic Digital Suspension. On top of these key features and the many other safety features the Q50 provides, you also get an immense amount of cargo space. As a matter of fact, if you and a friend want to go golfing this summer, you both can fit your golf bags in the trunk! Overall, the Q50 is an excellent choice and one of the most luxurious and sportiest sedans on the market. To learn more about the all new Q50, click here.

The QX50

The 2019 QX50 is generally a great car to have year round and is probably the most popular car we sell. There is tons of storage space, lots of safety features, and plenty of new technologies embedded in the car. If so equipped, you even have the option to have Heads Up Display, which projects a semi-transparent readout of key information onto the lower windshield. Another great feature in the new QX50 is the ProPilot Assist, which helps keep the QX50 centered in its lane and a set distance from the traffic in front of you, even around curves. Although this car is great to have in the winter due to the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, because of its sleek look and all of its unique features this is also a great car to ride around in all summer long. You will also be wow-ed at how large the sun-roof is, almost stretching to the back of the car, which is perfect for letting in those warm summer breezes. If you would like to learn more about the all new QX50, click here.

As you may know, the Colorado Rockies are one of our luxury partners, and here at INFINITI OF DENVER we love a good baseball game! Although the Rockies have only been playing since 1993, they have left a huge stamp in the city of Denver. The experience you get at a Rockies game is unlike any other. With the delicious food & drinks, the crazed fans, and the mountain and city skyline views, you will have the time of your life. Opening day is typically in the beginning of April with the season running all the way until the end of September, and the average regular season tickets range from $5 to $200. Plan a Romantic Valentine’s at One of These Denver Area Fine Dining Restaurants

Plan a Romantic Valentine's at One of These Denver Area Fine Dining RestaurantsCooking times are a bit different in the Mile High City thanks to the altitude, but that does nothing to slow down the professional chefs who operate the many fine-dining restaurants throughout Denver, Colorado. That's good news for Colorado lovebirds, because eating at a fancy restaurant is one of the classic ways to spend time with your significant other on Valentine's Day. If you live in the area, consider making a reservation at one of the following establishments.

Rioja

Rioja takes its name from a region in Spain, and it serves a variety of fine Mediterranean meals with plenty of wines to match them. Rioja is open for lunch and dinner, and during both times, they serve hand-made pasta in appetizer or entree amounts plus main dishes that use chicken, spiced, lamb, fish, or vegetarian options. You could also choose a tasting menu and share a little of everything with your date. You should also consider getting one of Rioja's unique cocktails. The restaurant is on Larimer Street between 14th and 15th Street.

Work and Class

If you prefer your fine food in a less formal setting, you can head north on Larimer Street to Work and Class, a place that combines Southern American and Latin American foods with a simple dining room that still comes with cloth napkins. The menu changes based on what seasonal ingredients are available, but they include options like Cajun-fried catfish, roasted goat, dirty rice, and jalapeno cornbread. Work and Class also has a variety of wines, beers, and liquors, not to mention a few house cocktails.

Acorn

Head up North Broadway until it becomes Brighton Boulevard and you'll spot Acorn on your right. Acorn has a very simple, industrial design that captures the feel of the old foundry that once filled the building. Acorn takes its name from the oak-fired grill and oven at the heart of the restaurant's kitchen, and just about every American-style menu option goes through the oak grill at some point. The menu is seasonal and always changing, and along with the food they offer high-booze, low-booze, and virgin cocktails.

Mercantile Dining and Provision

The uniquely named Mercantile Dining and Provision is both a fine-dining restaurant and a market where you can buy the house-made ingredients used in the restaurant's meals. Located in the Denver Union Station, Mercantile offers small plates, large plates, and family plates that consist of classic American comfort foods taken to the next level by a creative professional chef. If you're interested in how the food is made, you can sit in one of the seats with a good view of the open kitchen and watch the staff at work.

An expensive dinner is a classic way to spend your Valentine's Day, and the restaurants above are all good choices that offer different moods for different couples. They're also just a sample of the fine-dining establishments in Denver, so if all of them are booked solid on Valentine's Day, you'll have plenty of other good options to choose from.

With over 70,000 works from North America and across the world, the critically acclaimed Denver Art Museum is the largest of its kind between Chicago and the West Coast. Works from Georgia O'Keeffe, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, and Henri Duchamp highlight the more popular works at the museum. However, the museum's American Indian art is among the most extensive in the world, giving visitors a glance into the history and culture of the area's oldest inhabitants.

Located at 100 W. 14th Avenue Parkway, the Denver Art Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday. What makes this museum even more unusual is that it has no permanent exhibitions. Instead, it has rotating exhibits that last two to three months, meaning your experience is different each time you visit.
