There's an old saying among Coloradans: If you don't like the weather, wait ten minutes.  As winter eases into a typically brief spring, you might want to enjoy the season with shorts, sandals, and a drive up into the mountains with the windows down and the music blasting.  But before you do that, just remember that Colorado springtime usually means a lot of severe weather is just over the horizon.

Read some interesting facts:

• Mountains create microclimates and what might look like a day of clear blue skies on the news report, could be anything but from area to area.
• The months of March and April typically get more snowfall than December and January every year.
• The snowstorms that hit often bring a lot more moisture per storm as well, which means that roads can get very icy and road closures can happen very quickly.
• Spring weather can last anywhere between a few months or just a few weeks.  Colorado has some very radical weather conditions due to the mountains we all get to enjoy, and in spite of the 300+ sunny days every year, from thunderstorms to hail, rain to blizzards from March to June, you have to be prepared.

• Keep your INFINITI equipped with all-weather tires to handle driving in rain, snow, and ice. Observe traction laws when traveling to the mountains.
• When driving in poor weather like rain, snow, or hail, be sure to drop your speed and to brake early, using caution for click conditions. In fact, in severe storms, we recommend that you don’t drive at all, and, instead, wait for the weather to settle.
• Drive defensively.  Never assume the person next to you knows what they are doing.
• Stay off your phone!  Distracted driving is the leading cause of accidents in Colorado.
• Slow down!  Keeping at a comfortable speed below the speed limit in extreme weather makes sure you get home safely.
• Know when to brake.  Excessive or impulsive braking only causes accidents. Even with ABS braking, your car can lose traction and slide.  Impulsively hitting the brakes only causes alarm to other drivers in slick conditions.  Don't ride the brake.  Let your vehicle's motor slow you down by taking your foot off the gas pedal.
• Keep your distance.  Maintaining plenty of distance between yourself and the person in front of you will reduce your chances of getting into an accident.

For some customers, returning a leased vehicle can be a confusing, arduous process. However, with a little advanced planning and preparation, it is a simple, relatively quick and painless process. The INFINITI lease return process includes some best practices to ensure a smooth, hassle free return of your leased vehicle.

• Be familiar with your contract terms. Turning a car in late, early, over miles or to a different manufacturer can lead to problems.
• Have the vehicle reconditioned if necessary. Fix a broken windshield, replace bald tires and have body work that would necessitate an insurance claim repaired. Minor scratches, scrapes, etc. are allowed and expected, as covered in the wear and tear section of your lease contract.
• Contact the inspection service prior to returning the leased vehicle. An independent inspector will come to your home or office and do an inspection of your lease return. They will provide you with the results of the inspection shorty after it is complete, if not immediately. If you are present for the inspection, there will be no surprises and you can fix any damage prior to turning the vehicle back into the dealer.
• Call the dealer to schedule a time to return your lease. Dealers are unpredictably busy. Walking into a busy showroom waiting to be helped with your lease return is frustrating and can be a lengthy process. By calling ahead, the dealer will be expecting you and be prepared with your information. Upon arrival, the entire process should take you no more than 10 minutes. You will be required to sign a termination form with current mileage and keys, that is all.
• Within 2-4 weeks, you will receive a final lease return statement. This statement will reflect any final charges, including mileage penalties, excess wear and tear, unpaid lease payments, and disposition fees; if applicable. If there is a fee that you do not agree with or would like to contend, contact the lease return department. The phone number will be clearly printed on your statement. Do not contact the dealership, as they have no ability to negotiate or fix errors on lease return statements.

St. Patrick's always been associated with shamrocks, leprechauns, pots of gold, and getting pinched if you don't wear green. The Irish Americans and the Irish-at-heart first celebrated St. Patrick's Day in 1737 in Boston. Today, the holiday's celebrated all over the U.S. with Denver home to one of the country's largest St. Patrick's Day parades with around 200,000 expected to attend.

After Mardi Gras and New Year's Eve, St. Paddy's Day ranks third for drinking. One in three admit to binge drinking during the holiday, and it's estimated that over 13 million pints of Guinness will be consumed that day. According to WalletHub, 75 percent of St. Patrick's Day drinking and driving fatalities involved people twice over the legal .08 limit.
